Years of banking experience behind the work

Built for people who run community banks.

Spring Creek Advisory is a set of analytical tools and industry benchmarks aimed at the people who actually run small and mid-sized community banks — credit officers, loan committee members, ALCO participants, executives, and the analysts who support them. The problems the site addresses are credit classification, loan pricing, and how your bank stacks up against peers.

The tools were built by a banker who has spent 25 years on both sides of the exam table — as a state bank examiner and as a credit officer at a Nebraska community bank. They reflect what the work actually looks like, not what a software vendor thinks it looks like.

The Ogallala Score

Five-pillar peer rankings for every FDIC-insured bank, built from public call report data. Measures whether a bank runs on stable funding and disciplined management — or on funding that evaporates when conditions turn. Grades rate-cycle behavior through both rising and falling environments since 2018, alongside credit performance, overhead, and franchise growth. Build your own peer group by state and asset size.
